Preservation

To ensure that the Memorial remains a “must-see” destination for millions of visitors to DC each year.

Friends shares the history, design, and meaning of the World War II Memorial with the public and visitors to the Memorial.

Friends leads effort to add FDR’s D-Day Prayer, one of the largest mass prayers in history, to the Memorial and to provide a contemplative space to remember the more than 400,000 American souls lost during WWII.

Friends works with a group of deeply committed and highly knowledgeable Volunteers to provide more than 4 million annual visitors with a complete and profound visit to the Memorial.
