The Taylor/Kindle Families
Jack Taylor served his country as a U.S. Navy fighter pilot in the skies over the Pacific in World War II. Then, as did so many members of The Greatest Generation, he returned home to raise a family and start a business. The company he eventually founded – Enterprise Holdings – grew from a tiny start-up to become one of the business world’s great success stories.
Enterprise Holdings remains a privately held and family owned business today, with the third generation of the Taylor family beginning to take leadership. Jack’s son, Andy Taylor took the reigns as CEO 1991, and today he is the Executive Chairman. Jack’s daughter, Jo Ann Taylor Kindle, is President of the Enterprise Holdings Foundation. Carolyn Kindle Betz, Jo Ann’s daughter, became Vice President and Executive Director of the Enterprise Holdings Foundation in 2013, after assuming multiple roles in rental and fleet management since interning with the company in college. More recently, Andy’s daughter Chrissy Taylor, joined Enterprise in 2000, and after taking on multiple responsibilities in the U.S. and U.K. over the past 15 years, she was named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2016.
