6th Annual Friends of the National World War II Memorial Teachers Network and Conference (VIRTUAL)
Coming Home: The conclusion of World War II and the diverse experiences of servicemembers and civilians making the transition to post-war life

Monday, July 19, 2021 – Saturday, July 24, 2021

2021 Teachers Conference Application

Please note that the 2021 Teachers Conference will be held virtually due to public health guidance. We look forward to resuming an in-person schedule when possible.
  • We ask for two email addresses just in case one stops working over the summer (as some school emails do). We need to be able to reach you during the summer months!
  • Please enter a number from 1 to 50.
  • If you have one, please attach a sample activity or lesson plan (mapped to state standards or common core)* that you have used in your classroom to teach about World War II, and/or veterans’ issues.
Previous experience teaching WWII history in the classroom is not a requirement for participation in the conference.
Due to coronavirus concerns, a community service project is not mandatory this year as it has been in past years. However, we are still committed to supporting and organizing teachers who are able to perform a project.

The Friends of the National World War II Memorial’s education programs are generously supported by the Jack C. Taylor / Enterprise Rent-A-Car WWII Memorial Education Endowment.
