Veterans Day at the World War II Memorial

Honoring America’s World War II Veterans

On Veterans Day, we gather at the National World War II Memorial to honor the men and women who served our nation during World War II — and to express our gratitude for the courage, sacrifice, and sense of duty that defined their service.
Please join Friends of the National World War II Memorial on Wednesday, November 11, in Washington, DC, for a special Veterans Day observance honoring America’s World War II veterans.

At the Memorial built in their honor, we will recognize their service, celebrate the legacy they helped create, and offer our thanks to the members of the Greatest Generation who answered our nation’s call more than eight decades ago.

The ceremony will include remarks, musical tributes, and the presentation of wreaths in honor of our World War II veterans.

World War II veterans and their families are especially encouraged to attend. We would be honored to recognize World War II veterans joining us in person during the ceremony.

To attend in-person, please register below.

If you are unable to attend in-person, you may watch the ceremony Live on Friends' Facebook page so you can participate virtually and help us honor all who served.

Register to attend this event IN-PERSON at the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C.

If you are a World War II veteran, or know of a living WWII veteran who would like to participate IN-PERSON during the Veterans Day observance at the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, November 11th at 10:00 a.m. ET, please complete the form below.
