Remembrance Ceremony Honoree

On Friday, July 22, 2025, at approximately 10:15 A.M., members of the Friends of the National WWII Memorial Teachers Network and Conference will participate in a Remembrance Ceremony at the National World War II Memorial’s Circle of Remembrance.  The purpose of the ceremony is to remember and honor the 16 million who served in the U.S. armed forces during WWII, the more than 400,000 who died, and all who supported the war effort from home.

As part of this ceremony, we’re inviting you to provide a brief statement about a family member, friend, or member of your community who served during WWII – at home or abroad. Please indicate in the space provided, the name of the person you would like to honor, service branch, and theater of operations.

If you would like us to profile your WWII Veteran / Member of the Greatest Generation on the Friends’ Facebook page, please provide a bio and picture(s) when you submit this form.
