Frederick Brown

Frederick Brown was inducted into the United States Army on March 3, 1943, and honorably discharged on September 29, 1945. Serving as a Private First Class and radio operator, he frequently accompanied battalion staff on reconnaissance missions to the front lines, often under intense enemy artillery fire. For his bravery, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal in July 1945. Additionally, he received two overseas bars and the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon.

Following his military service, Mr. Brown dedicated his career to the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, where he retired as the warehouse supervisor. He was married for nearly 69 years and had two sons. In his later years, he lived in Lebanon with his son, Tim.
