After the war, McCarron returned to Philadelphia, where he and his late wife raised five children. He became a beloved member of the Somerton community, known for his warmth and dedication. He was honored with various tokens of appreciation, including a citation from State Senator Joe Picozzi and recognition as an honorary Marine.

McCarron's legacy lives on through his five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His life stands as a testament to service, family, and community.
