Merle Lilley

Merle Lilley was born on January 10, 1925. At the end of World War II, he was drafted into the U.S. Army Air Corps, where he received training as a pilot. Though the war concluded before he was deployed into combat, his service marked the beginning of a lifelong pride in being a U.S. military veteran.

Now retired, Merle reflects on his time in uniform with gratitude and pride. His service occurred at a crucial moment in history, and he remains proud to be counted among the World War II generation.
