Stanley Teller was born on October 11, 1924, in Queens, New York. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946 as a first-class radioman aboard the USS Fayette. He participated in four major invasions: Guam, Peleliu, Leyte, and Luzon, and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service.
